PSAP

Always Answered PSAP & operational coordination

An information-gathering and triage layer for demanding operational periods.

The Always Answered PSAP concept adds capacity when call volume spikes: calls are answered and structured even while every dispatcher is occupied, gathering the details that matter most — location, incident type, priority, hazards, weapons, fire conditions, patient count, breathing status and other critical details — and organizing them for dispatch oversight.

Once captured, that information can be pushed to the right responders through the configured workflow, so a busy period degrades into queues rather than lost calls.

It supports existing PSAP, CAD and MDT operations and does not replace them. Feature selection, roles, permissions, automation levels and workflows are configurable to operational requirements, and no capability is switched on for an agency without that agency's decision.

Always Answered PSAP
  • Adaptive emergency triage: in high call volume or major incidents a PSAP can redirect calls to the triage system for immediate information gathering, with dispatch oversight and alerts sent directly to responders
  • Rapid incident assessment: location, incident type, priority, hazards, weapons, fire, patient count and breathing status collected and shared with responders

The detail behind it

5 sectionsOpen any one to read it.

When call volume spikes, the failure is rarely that the emergency is unknown — it is that the details queue behind a line that is already busy, and the first minutes go into holding rather than into information.

  • Calls in a major incident arrive faster than they can be answered one at a time
  • The details that matter most are also the ones most often lost: location, hazards, weapons, patient count, breathing
  • A busy period degrades into a queue, and what should be a delayed call becomes a lost one

Everything here describes the platform as built, subject to the configuration decisions of the community or agency using it.

Support this work

Free for the people who need it, anywhere it runs.

It is not tied to one town or one county: a department, agency or community anywhere in the country or the world can run it. Residents are never charged. Departments pay for the parts they use, and donations let us put more resources into a community that could not otherwise afford them.

  • · Defibrillators, naloxone and bleeding-control kits
  • · Guides, voice instructions and training material
  • · Mapping the equipment a community already has
